But even if you are just debating becoming friends with benefits with someone... You need to think about whether it's worth it or not. First of all, lot's look at the very obvious benefits when it comes to having someone that you can always hit up with a booty call. Pros For most people, it's the physical aspect. Orgasms are always nice. They make you stress-free and fill you up with happiness hormones that can have an effect on you for up to a couple of hours. How would you not want that all the time? Unfortunately, in most cases, only friends with benefits relationships are the only ones that can provide you with a lot of sex for a long period of time. If you get yourself a boyfriend or girlfriend then it's much di...

The Top 5 Things That Say: Time To Break Up

For some people, it's easy to decide when it's time to break up... But for the rest of us... Well, here's the quick guide if you don't know how to handle the end of the relationship. Because these aren't "just problems that can be easily solved". These are the dealbreakers. 1. You feel stuck We all know that a partner should encourage growth in us. Mental, physical or even spiritual if that's your thing. It's why we look for a life-long companion, so we have someone to help us become better. Once this element is gone... There's not much you can do. 2. You think of dating other people (seriously) We all have an occasional thought about a random stranger passing by, or even someone closer to us. Although it doesn't matter who the subject is, it's never serious. We quickly forget about it and go on about our day. But there are times when we become focused on one person. We daydream, we can't get them out of o...

Do You Have Overreaction Problems? Here's How To Overcome Them

Many women struggle with keeping their reactions realistic when it comes to their partner's actions. Most men would say that this is the most annoying part of dating their significant other, the fact that they blow everything out of proportion and overreact to everything. Although, it's not just women who do this, we have to admit, we're the majority. There's nothing wrong with it, we're emotional people, but if we want to keep a healthy relationship going, then we need to address this problem and try to make ourselves better. Because let's be honest, it's childish. If you don't know if this is what you're struggling with, then let me give you an example. Your partner says something, maybe the statement they made was rude or their tone of voice was off. It makes you explode. Maybe you had a crappy day, maybe there was nothing wrong before this, but for some reason you feel as if this was over the line. You don't listen, you don't ac...

Why Neglecting Your Man Is Hurting You

Ah, yes. The silent treatment, we're all too familiar with it, whether we gave or received it. It's a form of punishment, but one that won't achieve much. Let's talk about why it's bad for your relationship. First of all, it's based on not communicating, which is already an awful start, because we know that talking about problems is the key to solving them. Not saying anything at all... Well, it makes it hard for two people to come to an agreement. It makes the argument longer than it already should be and both halves will end up feeling worse and worse by each second that passes. And the worst? If you haven't been on the receiving end of this, you don't know how bad it feels. You can't imagine the actual panic that sets in, but let me try to paint the picture in your head: Your partner refuses to talk to you, even after you've apologized a thousand times. You desperately try to make them say something, even if it's just one word. ...

How To Get Closer To Your Distant Partner

There are times when you might feel like your relationship is not the same anymore and the spark is gone. I know this all too well, so don't be worried if this is the case, it happens to even the best of us. There are remedies for it and they can do wonders. Maybe the bond between you two will be even better after it. After all, you can always reheat a relationship after it has gone cold. But first of all, you need to decide what you want to do. Some people simply decide to break it off at this point, not realizing that this is the part where relationships become stronger. I advise you to communicate and say how you feel about the situation, although this might make your partner feel afraid about the future of you two. In this case you need to be outright and say your intentions.  Unfortunately, when this fading happens there's not much you can do and communication is the most effective way to deal with it. But at this point I have to let go of your hand, so ...

The Top 10 Things That Will Scare Your Date Away

(Remember: this post is useful if you have a male date and you're a woman.) Let's admit: we love to go overboard when it comes to impressing someone from the opposite gender and there's nothing wrong with it, but it can very easily scare them away. So here they are, the top 10 mistakes we make when trying to seduce men: 1. Too much perfume Do NOT put too much perfume on. It's one thing that your date will get nauseated, but other people around you will too. The most amount of sprays is two. One on your neck, one on your wrist (then rub your wrists together so it sticks there as well). 2. Too much makeup  We've heard this one a lot, natural is better, blablabla... Thankfully, if you love makeup there's still a way to express yourself by using it and not go overboard. Today's trends dictate the "natural look". Which is technically still a lot if you think about it, but now it isn't as exaggerated. Just don't use too much ...

What To Do With A Cheater?

If this post only consisted of my own opinion then you would only need 10 seconds to read it. Mostly because all of this text would simply be: Get rid of him.  But I've looked into the matter a bit further, so I'll try to give you more advice. Both partners are required for the cheating to happen, a healthy relationship doesn't make either half feel the desire to go to anyone else. Hence, you can't only blame the cheater, even if you really want to. If you really want to continue with the relationship then all I can advise is communication (like always). Talk through it, ask them what they need from you and give it to them. If it happens more than once, the likeliness of them committing this type of betrayal again is very high. This is usually the breaking point. Although psychologists and therapists suggest trying once more after a cheating occurs in a relationship, the chance of it actually working is quite low. Scientifically , genes can be blamed ...

How To Deal With Heartbreak

I'm talking about true heartbreak. This is one of those situations where no advice will help for sure. There will be times when you feel desperate and lonely. My way of overcoming might be just right for you though. Acceptance First of all, accept the fact that they're gone. Throw the idea of them coming back out the window, learn to be alone. Most people tend to focus on loneliness and that's what keeps them down, don't be one of them. Let yourself feel the pain Once you do this you will likely be even sadder, but it's alright, it's part of the healing process. This is the part where you lay down, eat sweets and cry. And don't feel bad about that you're this way, because now the way only leads up. The next couple of days or maybe even weeks will be miserable, but you need to get through them. Go to work/school, exercise, eat properly and take care of yourself. Never, ever check your ex's social media. Spare yourself the trouble and f...

Lessons Learned - Red Flags

A red flag is referred to anything in the beginning of a relationship which signifies danger in long term. Most of them are obvious, but some are hidden, waiting for the moment to strike and ruin the entire bond built up between the partners. Don't take me wrong, everything can be worked on, if you find one of these in your significant other, you can always talk through it, but be wary. After a couple of relationships I've become quite sensitive to red flags. Especially after dating a few... troublesome guys. Which is why I'm writing this: to warn you. So read these paragraphs carefully, as they are real life experiences and not rewritten, overused stories. Manipulation Okay, this is obvious, there's the "I will hurt myself." or "I won't meet you next time.". But the real problem begins when these are subtle and not so obnoxious. Some people put the relationship at risk just to keep their partner, so we can phrase it this way ...
